Not done yet, but you get the idea of it. Other ideas could be to use old cookbooks and paint EAT, use old kids books, paint kids names, use sewing patterns with SEW or a related silhouette on it, etc. This one is going to go in my classroom above my computer. In other news:
- Joe has had three accident free days this week in the new world of potty training.
- He discovered how to put beans up his nose and in his ears, and then got to learn how to get beans out of your nose by plugging one side and blowing them out. He has become a total boy!
- Tonight though he wanted to lug his plastic grocery cart filled with Jonathan's toys downstairs and push it on a walk around the block. It included accidentally dropping it down the stairs, filling the plastic fire truck up at the fir hydrant, and then abandoning it to run down the street and upstairs for story time!
- He also went to Disneyland for the first time this week, and hasn't stopped talking about the "Choo CHOOOOOOOOO!" since.
- He blows the best raspberries!
- Jonathan is working on sitting up for longer periods of time, and absolutely loves to laugh, especially when he sees Joe, gets to play hide and seek, patty cake, or Itsy bitsy spider.
- Granted that clothing sizes rarely reflect a child's true age, he is 5 1/2 months old, he wears 12 month clothing, and 18 month footed zip up pyjamas! But, he can also still wear 6 month pants, while some 12 month shorts are too tight. Clothing companies need to get their sizing straight!
